So it’s your first time in the gym? Or your second? Or maybe you’ve been coming here for a while and still don’t feel confident in what you do whilst you’re here.
Maybe you’re unsure of what kind of training you should be doing for your goals? You find yourself asking questions like should I try that thing that that person is doing? Should I go in the weights room or not? How does this machine work? Am I going this exercise right? I hear you!
We all have to start somewhere and believe it or not that was once exactly how I felt and sometimes still do. I used to be a competitive swimmer and felt very at home in the pool. But once I stopped swimming and started training I felt so out of place in the gym. I doubted everything I did and felt like people must be watching me and thinking “what the heck is she doing”. I can promise you that most people really don’t care what you do in the gym, except me.
