Robyn Jones
I was never the sporty kid in school. I was bullied for being different and this pulled me into deep water when a severe lack of self-confidence combined with body dysmorphia led me into the depths of an eating disorder that consumed my adolescence. I felt completely out of control of both my mind and body. Somewhere along the way I started going to the gym and once I stepped out the comfort zone of cardio machines and classes I developed a love of strength training and it literally led me from strength to strength, both physically and mentally. I gained 12kg of muscle, a whole heap of confidence and a new perspective of what it means to be fit and healthy.
I now have a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and thrive applying the knowledge I have learnt (and continue to learn) about exercise, nutrition and the body to myself and my clients. I also compete in the equine sport of Endurance; a rigorous combination of strength, stamina and mental grit. I’ve competed at a national level across the UK as part of the Scottish Team and have ambitions to take my career onto the international stage in the future. I know exactly what it takes to go after your goals with relentless pursuit. I’m experienced at getting back up after being knocked down. And I’m passionate about teaching that mindset to others.
I know when I was starting out I would have benefitted massively from a mentor to show me the ropes. It definitely would have sped up the process of achieving my goals. So, whether you’re starting your fitness journey completely from scratch or simply looking for a new direction to take your journey in, I am here to teach, guide, motivate and inspire you to do so in the most safe, efficient and effective way possible. I can help you learn to lift, conquer low-self confidence in and out of the gym, and build your dream body in the process. It takes time and consistency, but with a helping hand you’d be amazed at what you can achieve.
