Polly MacFarlane
I discovered fitness through a slightly alternative route to most.
I discovered it through dance, drama and performance.
I worked out to maintain my health and stamina for my job which was (and still sometimes is) being a full time, International Cabaret Artist, specialising in Hula Hoop.
I worked the burlesque scene for years and it was a delight to come across the stunning spectrum of bodies and the acceptance of all in this space.
This inspired me to put on my own hoop fitness and stretch classes that aimed not just to help improve peoples fitness, but for them to feel the joy of learning a new skill and to be apart of a collective that celebrates and supports ALL bodies.
I wanted to take this further and so became a fully qualified Personal Trainer whilst hopping back and forth to Edinburgh for the Fringe.
Being a performer means I understand nervousness, I am hugely empathetic regarding any issues affecting mental health, and you’ll have my full compassion if you want to share these subject matters with me.
I am beyond passionate about being a support to people who are looking to begin carving a path for themselves that will bring them a new found sense of confidence physically and mentally.
