At the fundamental level, the concept of exercise is very simple. Introduce a stimulant to the body, allow the body to adapt and another stimulant can be introduced. The adaptation that occurs to the body is what results in mental, emotional and physical changes and developments.
Therefore it's my belief that anyone can achieve their goals given that they are self-motivated, dedicated, knowledgeable etc; But sometimes in life, we find ourselves lacking in some of these areas and aspects. Therefore, my job as a PT is to work with my client to enhance their strengths and develop upon their weakness, which will result in us achieving goals and hitting targets; but even more important is my goal as a PT, is to pass on the mental, physical and emotional benefits I experience through exercise and healthy living by slowly helping you to make them as part of your way of life. I am passionate, dedicated, result driven and I enjoy what I do; therefore helping you achieve your optimal health and fitness is my drive.
My areas of interest are:
- Increasing cardiovascular fitness.
- Fat burn: through a combination of nutritional calorie control and high-intensive interval training.
- Increasing muscle mass through manipulating training phases such as endurance, hypertrophy and strength to influence muscle growth.
- Strength training: through controlling load and rest period to promote neuromuscular connection.
- Toning and muscle definition: by emphasising concentric and isometric muscle contraction.
