Hi, I’m Katherine! My fitness journey started about 4 years ago when I decided I would start attending the gym after losing 6 stone. Like many others when I first walked in, I felt lost and lacked confidence, I avoided the weights area and stuck to cardio. Then after getting myself a training programme I found I had no choice but to go into the weights area. Yet, I would still try to avoid unless I was with friends due to a lack of confidence.
Overtime my confidence grew and I started to notice changes in my body, but I also became interested in nutrition and how that plays apart in my daily life and my fitness. This for me, was a massive wake up call to what I had been doing for years and I changed the way I looked at food.
I knew that I wanted to help others and inspire more people to make the change to a healthier lifestyle and gain confidence. Not just with their body but in their life and I felt passionate that with my experience and knowledge I would be able to do this and help more people achieve their goals which then inspired me to become a personal trainer.
Being a mum to two children I understand how hard juggling a family, work and fitness is, but I also understand how important all three are and how fitness can improve your lifestyle with family and work. I believe that the benefits to health and fitness is more than just physique, it is also improving confidence, mental health, lifestyle and relationships.
