I was the girl who first entered the gym feeling intimidated and not really knowing where to start. I wanted to build curves and be like those fitness models you see on social media yet I would only do an endless amount of cardio and go nowhere near the weights sections as I thought this would make me “bulky”. I didn’t have the confidence to even pick up a weight and I would also stick to a super restrictive diet as I thought cardio paired with chicken and veg was the way to get “toned” - but all that did was lead me to a bad relationship with food and thinking certain foods were never to be eaten.
But I'm now the girl who has lived and learned. I do things my own way. I've found what works best for me. I encourage this for every single person I work with, as there is no 'one-size-fits-all'.
After stepping out of my comfort zone I began lifting weights, eating to fuel my body correctly and falling more in love with fitness so I decided to enter a bodybuilding bikini fitness competition. I am now a successful bikini competitor and have competed nationally and internationally winning various titles.
I qualified as a Personal Trainer and nutritionist as I am so passionate about helping others and want to help them feel strong, capable and confident within their own skin!
We are more than just a body or a number on the scale, despite what the media tells us! I'm a huge advocate of balance, and keeping your health and social life a priority whilst reaching your goals - because it absolutely is possible!
